Licensing and intellectual property map

IoTSyn publishes open research materials while operating a separate production web service. The licence attached to one artifact does not extend to another artifact unless that second artifact carries the same licence notice.

Public generated data
A public dataset is CC0 only when its dataset page or accompanying metadata identifies it as CC0. The dedication permits copying, modification, redistribution, and commercial reuse without an attribution condition.
Citation remains a scientific practice rather than a CC0 legal condition. Use the citation attached to the dataset record and retain the engine version, seed, and dataset identifier.
Third-party material
IoTSyn cannot relicense data, code, standards, figures, or documentation owned by another party. Each third-party item retains the licence and attribution stated by its source.
A package that combines IoTSyn material with third-party material must include a THIRD_PARTY_DATA_NOTICE or equivalent manifest that identifies every exception.
Published grants remain in force
This page clarifies scope. It does not withdraw or narrow rights already granted under CC0 for a published artifact. Future releases may carry a different licence only when their files and release records state that licence.
